In 1993 the 25th Congress of Americanist Performer in Ciudad de la plata, Argentina, declared Qosqo City as the "Archaeological Capital of South America". In 1950 a bad earthquake of 7° in the Mercalli scale had shaken the old Inkan Capital that left just one quarter of its buildings standing. In 1978 the 7th Convention of Mayors of the World Great Cities, performed in Milan, Italy, declared Qosqo as "Cultural Heritage of the World". In Paris, on December 9, 1983, the UNESCO declared Qosqo as "Cultural Patrimony of Humanity". On December 22, 1983, by means of Law Nº 23765 the Peruvian government declared the city as "Tourist Capital of Peru" as well as "Cultural Patrimony of the Nation". Today Qosqo is capital of the department having the same name. The 1993 Peruvian Constitution declares Qosqo as the Historic Capital of the country.

Day 1: Cusco-City Tour
|

Upon arrival reception at the Inca City of Cusco, assistance and transfer to the hotel. A special coca tea is offered to alleviate from the altitud sickness. Short break in order to adapt to altitude. Afternoon tour of this magnificent city, visiting the gorgeous Qoricancha temple or Temple of the Sun, continuing to the nearby Archaeological site of Saqsayhuaman with some shrines and megalitic walls. Transfer to the Plaza de Armas or hotel.

Day 2: Cusco-
Sacred Valley
|
|
|
|
Buss goes along the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the landscape of it may at times seem to resemble or come to remind one of other somehow similar places. And yet one will never find a space so charged with energy, history, living cultures, thrill and adventure mysticism and wonder as this Valley, the Inca Temple of Nature.
Afternoon return to Cusco and hotel.

Day 3: Cusco-
Machupicchu
|
|
|
|
Early breakfast. Transfer to train station for a full day tour of Machupicchu, the Mysterious Inca City. Train goes along the Urubamba valley, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Tour around the most important structures, temples and astronomical observatory with an Official Tour Guide.
Afternoon return to Cusco and hotel.
